Formerly the George T. Stagg distillery, the Buffalo Trace Distillery is now home to some of the most notable Bourbons on the market. In 1999, Master Distiller, Elmer T. Lee, came out of retirement just to create Buffalo Trace Bourbon. With a lower than normal rye mashbill this bourbon is more delicate as it has a softer more sweeter expression.
